A Prayer for her world

silk thread, organza, stone , brass

A Prayer for her World was created after the birth of the artist’s niece. Reflecting on the fragile condition of the world she will grow up in, the artist began this work as a quiet gesture of hope and blessing.
The piece takes the form of a prayer flag made from translucent fabric. Small stones collected from the mountains of Puli are carefully stitched into the cloth by hand. Through the slow and meditative act of sewing, the work becomes a quiet ritual of care.
Stone, a material shaped by time and landscape, carries the memory of the land. Suspended in fabric and moving with the wind, the work holds a series of silent wishes — for clear skies, clean air, fertile land, and a peaceful world.
It is a prayer for the future, and for the world a new life will one day inherit
