The work is inspired by Chinese Philosopher Zhuangzi’s concept of “the use of the uselessness.” I started by collecting interesting found objects from a secondhand store, and then I transformed the “useless” items into a wearable piece with conflicting aesthetic values (pearls, which symbolize luxury, are paired with test tubes made from inexpensive plastic).
