Commissioned wall piece Moonlight for French restaurant Le Lapin in Macau.
The work is inspired by Paul Klee's quote "La lune est le rêve du soleil" which means the moon is the dream of the sun. From our eyes, the size of sun and moon look identical. However the fact is that they have very distinct size and distance. The moon can be so bright which is the reflection of sun even though it seems like the moon is shinning on its own. It is a love story between the moon and the sun. The sun never has a chance to encounter the moon. He can only dream of the moon in his dream. Two can never be encountered, but the moon will never be bright without the sun.  The gold color in my work represents the light of the sun, and the moon in this work is in the shades of black and gray and reflected by the gold in the background.
