The death of famous poet Li Bai, from mid-Tang dynasty inspires this series of sake cups. Li Bai loved drinking. There is many different version of the cause of his death. The most popular folklore is that he drowned because of drinking on the boat and he was trying to catch the reflection of the moon.  In this series of work, I am trying to mimic the beautiful starry night that I imagined Li Bai died for.
