A Prayer for the World

silk thread, organza, dried flower
80 x 105 cm

May the sky be deep blue,
and the air fresh and clean.

May the waters run clear,
and the land be rich and abundant.

May the seasons be distinct,
with winds and rains in harmony.

May the sunlight be gentle,
and the rain nourish the earth.

May all people be healthy,
with kindness in their hearts.

May every land be peaceful,
and the world be filled with light

In Buddhist thought, there is a saying: one flower, one world. From the mountains where I live, I gather these wild blossoms, and in an age of fi erce storms and restless politics, I inscribe within them my deepest blessings. May each petal hold a quiet universe, off ering peace where chaos rages, and reminding us that even a single bloom can cradle the infinite.
